• 5 Most Beautiful Places To Backpack West Of The Rocky Mountains

I’m pleased to introduce Annabelle, who shares her 5 most beautiful places to backpack in the US. For those who might have the opportunity to go in the Rocky Mountains area, here are 5 best places you can go for hiking and backpacking.

Tourists flock to the left coast to indulge in its excess, whether it be California’s theme parks, Las Vegas’s adult playground, or the entire shoreline’s hippie culture. However, west of the Rocky Mountains, natural sites exist that are so magnificent, roller coasters and casinos start to feel a little less thrilling.

    #5. La Jolla Cove, California

    LaJollaCove

One of Southern California’s upscale gems, La Jolla Cove includes one of the nation’s most photographed beaches. The lounging area is small, but the surrounding caves and cliffs make for some unique exploring adventures. Deep waters and a ban on fishing create a perfect setting for snorkeling. Being an ecological reserve, La Jolla Cove’s marine life is protected, and sea lions can occasionally be spotted lazing in the San Diego sun.

    #4. Yosemite Falls, California

    Yosemite Falls

Attracting millions of travelers each year, Yosemite National Park, as a whole, provides weeks’ worth of sightseeing activities. One of its amazing vistas, Yosemite Falls, is especially bewitching at 2425 feet, making it the highest waterfall in North America. At this height, the roaring water can be viewed from many points in the park during its normal flow between November and July. Reaching the top of Yosemite Falls is an exhausting all-day trek, but the hypnotizing sounds of water crashing against the rocks entice hikers to persevere.

#3. Lake Tahoe, Nevada and California

    Lake Tahoe1

A combination of forests, mountains, and an awe-inspiring lake, Tahoe may possess too much beauty for viewers to fully grasp upon first sight. Deep blues and greens produce a surreal atmosphere, ideal for artistic inspiration. Endless smartphone-free recreation such as hiking, biking, skiing, and kayaking is available, leading to lively days and peaceful nights. Tahoe’s manmade splendor is apparent in its romantic cabins, lodges, and historic mansions.

    #2. Zion National Park, Utah

    Zion National Park2

    Zion National Park1

The heart of Utah, Zion’s creamy rock walls are a stunning sight, whether cruising through in the comfort of a vehicle or touring by foot. History abounds here with lingering hints of Mormon pioneer life and ancient petroglyphs and pictographs. Canyoneering is a fantastic activity for Zion’s diverse terrain of rocks and water. Amenities are dotted throughout the park, but the variety is scarce. For nearby businesses, head to a st george restaurant, shop, or hotel 30 minutes away. The town is an optimal base for visiting Zion and Southern Utah’s other remarkable mountain ranges, forests, and lakes.

    #1. Mount Rainier, Washington

    Mount Rainier

The bad boy of the West, Mount Rainier is considered one of the most perilous volcanoes worldwide, yet humans can’t resist its tranquil allure. The backdrop of glacier- and snow-covered mountains with a foreground of wildflower meadows and a sparkling lake compose a picturesque paradise. Despite the threat of volcanic dangers, Mount Rainier is a wonderful place to bring the family with its easy hiking trails and many museums. Leisurely hobbies like berry-picking and picnics ensure that even toddlers and the elderly can enjoy the scenic landscape. The area may be a photographer’s dream, but anyone can revel in the real-life snapshot of Mount Rainier.
